I have been using this design almost exclusively for my margin fishing since 2015 and is now my goto pattern on water from 6" to 3ft deep.
We all know the diamond pattern gives great stability and this helps when line bites are a problem The highly visible 1.7mm or 2mm hollow tips further aid buoyancy and bite detection as well as allowing you to dot it down if that is your preferred presentation. Works fantastically in windy, choppy conditions riding waves with ease.
The addition of a side eye to the peak of the diamond body virtually eliminates line cut and the eye is highly unlikely to ever be pulled out as the angle from the pole rubber and the spring eye creates inbound rather than outbound pressure.
The 1mm glass stem is glued through the whole body and into the hollow tip making this pattern very strong. I still have original floats on my rigs from 2015
