Uses a "steady/silva" shaped body this float is specifically designed for the in vogue winter method of dobbing.
Many anglers are now turning away from the orignal wire stem patterns and using carbon with a bulk directly underneath, the thinking being this makes the float less prone to tangles. As many still prefer wire we offer both and use Flexible Nickel (no memory) Titanium wire. Both approaches allow the float to "fish" immediately so you can see instant bites and "read" your float as the bait settles.
The stems and tips are shorter than our standard floats and come with a choice of 1.5mm; 1.7mm or 2mm hollow tips for added bouyancy to support a bait that is normally suspended in mid water.
Avail in 0.2 – 0.5g with a choice of red, yellow or black tips, fitted with the new power eyes and tripled coated these are a strong float for exciting battles.
The loading refers to the body size used rather than what shot this float would take. This is an ideal approach as in the wire version the stem takes some of the loading and the use of a couple of droppers allows your bait to fall invitingly through the water column to the waiting fish......
Been using both this and the RG Ws Svelte.
Both patterns are strong for quite a delicate float offering great presentation and superb stability.
Have found myself using the "Dobbers" more than the Svelte, the shorter stem and cut down tip seem to offer greater balance and for shallow far bank swims this float is ideal. The 1.5mm hollow tip shows up really well and the wire stem (i think its 0.6mm) is strong and straight. I only need to add a couple of shot to get them to sit right and bites, particularly on 10mm bread are real "gozunders".
I had the misfortune yesterday to snag a far bank bush, had the pole back to top 2 and pulled until the line broke. The float shot back at me crashing into the near bank. Upon inspection both the side eye and tip were undamaged with very little evidence of line cut. Was up and fshing again in minutes, real thumbs up to RG fishing and will be ordering some more soon.
